I have installed ASPI, but ISO Commander don’t show my old CD drive

In this case do the following:

  1. Run regedit.exe.
    If you have such a key in the registry, then change them on the following. If you don’t have such a key in the registry, then create them. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\ASPI32
    "Start"=dword:00000001
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\ASPI32\Parameters
    "ExcludeMiniports"=""
  2. Restart computer.
  3. If it doesn't work, then install ASPI version 4.60, restart computer and repeat cited above procedure.

I can’t run ISO Commander because some .dll needed

Most likely you don’t installed Microsoft Foundation Class Library (MFC) on your Windows. MFC is set of .dll that is used by many programs for Windows. You can download it from our site www.isocommander.com/files/mfcr.exe. After you download MFC run it, and restart computer.

I have edited Linux image and now it don't boot

We not recommend you to use ISO Commander to edit Linux distributive's because distributive's integrity check mounts there.

You ISO Commander contain virus!

ISO Commander dynamically packed execute files packer ASPack. Some antivirus programs including old Dr.Web versions and AntiVirus Pro mistakenly identify ASPack code as virus. We recommend you to update your antivirus program or check ISO Commander by another antivirus program.

We also want to remark that ISO Commander has it own antivirus protection and if virus will be detected, than ISO Commander won’t run and shows you message about virus attack.

I saved your bootable area from my disc, but it is failed. Why is it so?

Bootable area size saves in the “El Torito” headline, but only when “floppy disc emulation mode” is on. If “emulation free” or “hard disc drive emulation mode” chosen, then bootable area size identification is quite hard problem.

ISO Commander tries to identify bootable area size using heuristic, but 100% result isn’t guarantees. If you have this trouble, write support@isocommander.com.

ISO Commander shows me strange messages about "ASPI"

If see such a message and you Windows 9x on your PC or some menu items are always not accessible, then don’t be in a hurry to write to support. You can solve such a problem in 5 minutes.

  • If you want to know what ASPI version do you have, download check ASPI version utility aspichk.exe and check ASPI version;
  • If you want to install approved ASPI 4.60 version, download it and follow the instructions;
  • If you want to install up to date ASPI version from the developers site, do it, but we warn that versions 4.70a and 4.71b have several bugs.
